Choosing Guide

How to Choose the Right Track Train

Match the train to your daily visitor flow first, then to your route, station and depot layout. Every DINIS track train runs on the same 406 mm gauge system, so you can start with one formation and add carriages or a second train as traffic grows.

High visitor flow — 150+ passengers per departure

The 202-seat steam locomotive set is our flagship for long scenic railways and park railroads where queues build quickly at peak times.

See the 202-Seat Steam Locomotive Train →

Balanced mid-large routes — 72 to 120 seats

The DNS-120 and DNS-96 combine strong capacity with a compact formation, ideal for scenic areas with medium-length routes and limited depot space.

See the DNS-120 Track Train →

Compact scenic routes — 24 to 48 seats

Smaller diesel-electric trains such as the DNS-36 and antique models suit shorter loops, parks and heritage-style lines with lighter passenger flow.

Model Comparison

Compare Capacity, Passenger Flow and Route Requirements

All models use a 406 mm gauge railway. Match passenger demand per departure first, then compare the theoretical hourly flow, grade and curve radius against your site.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the track need to be?
A typical scenic line runs from about 500 m up to several kilometres, depending on the ride time you want. We design the alignment — curves, gradients and station positions — around your site plan.
What is the difference between the DNS models?
The number shows passenger capacity: DNS-36, DNS-48, DNS-60, DNS-72, DNS-96 and DNS-120 carry 36 to 120 passengers, with the 202-seat steam locomotive set as the flagship of the range.
Can you supply the track as well as the train?
Yes. The 406 mm gauge rail, sleepers, fishplates, stations and bridges are supplied as one package with laying drawings, because the same team designs both the train and the railway.
