Product Details

The 202-seat steam locomotive train is DINIS's flagship track train. With a 7.26 m locomotive, a full tender and 40-seat passenger carriages, it delivers the presence, capacity and operating economics that a large park railway or scenic route demands.

Power comes from a 120 kW diesel generator set with electric traction — 7.5 kW × 4 motors in each powered car for a total of 60 kW across 8 motors. This diesel-electric layout is reliable, fuel-efficient and easy to maintain, and it gives the train strong climbing performance on real scenic routes.

Every carriage is manufactured with an automotive-grade steel body, FRP styling parts and professional painting, then fully assembled and no-load test-run before shipment. Configurations, seat count and theming are customized to your project.

For projects that need maximum passenger throughput — large theme parks, mountain scenic areas, heritage railways and resort estates — the 202-seat steam locomotive train is the strongest option in the DINIS range.

202-Seat Steam Locomotive Train FAQ

How many carriages does the 202-seat train include?
The standard formation is one locomotive, one tender and four 40-seat passenger carriages. The number of carriages can be adjusted to match your route and daily passenger target.
What power system does it use?
It is diesel-electric: a 120 kW generator set feeds traction motors in the powered cars (7.5 kW × 4 per car, 60 kW total with 8 motors). This gives strong climbing ability and low maintenance.
Can the livery be customized?
Yes. Color schemes, logos, carriage interiors and themed details are all customizable to your park or destination brand.
What is included in a 202-seat locomotive project?
The standard project covers the locomotive, tender and four 40-seat passenger carriages, the 120 kW generator set and 60 kW traction package, selected livery and carriage options, 406 mm gauge track sized to the route, station and bridge drawings, installation guidance and export packing. Freight, local civil works and on-site services can be quoted separately.
What track gauge and route does the 202-seat train need?
The standard system is 406 mm gauge with 12 kg/m steel rail, laid to the route drawings we prepare for your site. The train performs best on long scenic lines with gentle gradients; curves and slopes are checked against your site plan before production.
How much does the 202-seat steam locomotive train cost?
The price depends on the formation (number of 40-seat carriages), total track length, livery and optional items such as stations or bridges. Send us your route length and expected daily visitors and we will quote factory-direct, usually within one working day.
How many passengers can the 202-seat train move per hour?
Throughput depends on round-trip time, boarding and dwell time. At a full 202-seat load, a 60-minute round-trip cycle gives a theoretical steady-state flow of about 202 passengers per hour; a 30-minute cycle gives about 404. Actual capacity is lower once boarding and queuing are included, so we size the formation and timetable against your site plan.
What support is provided after the 202-seat train is delivered?
The delivery package includes installation drawings, an operator manual, a recommended spare-parts list and guidance for commissioning. For larger railway projects we provide remote installation support or on-site supervision and operator training; ongoing spare parts can be supplied against the original component schedule.
How does the 202-seat train compare with the DNS-120?
The 202-seat steam locomotive is the flagship choice for long, high-flow scenic routes where the steam-era locomotive experience and maximum seats per departure justify the larger formation. The DNS-120 carries 120 passengers in a more compact formation, which suits large parks and scenic routes where footprint, station length or initial investment should stay lower.
What is the production time and do you support installation?
Standard models are usually built in 3–6 weeks; flagship and heavily themed trains such as the 202-seat locomotive take longer, plus shipping to your port. We supply installation drawings and remote guidance, with on-site supervision for larger projects, and provide operator training, manuals and spare parts.
